Software can refer to any of:

Native Software - Software that runs on Sinclair related hardware. (e.g. ZX Spectrum Games)

Tools - Software that runs on another platform. (e.g. emulators)

Operating System ROMs - The firmware of the computer or peripheral, stored on a ROM, EPROM, FLASH, etc.
