The General Instrument SP0256 is a speech synthesis chip used in various peripherals for the ZX Spectrum.
It was used as the speech synthesis chip for the following interfaces:
- Currah μSpeech (aka. MicroSpeech)
- Cheetah Sweet Talker
- Fuller Orator
- Dk'Tronics Speech Synthesiser
Also used in the variants of these interfaces for many other peripherals, e.g. Cheetah Sweet Talker for BBC Micro and various interfaces for the CPC.
