Beta BASIC is a BASIC interpreter for the Spectrum written by Dr Andrew Wright, who traded as BetaSoft. It is compatible with Sinclair BASIC, but provides extra features, such as support for structured programming. Many features from Beta BASIC can be found in SAM BASIC, which was also written by Dr Wright.
